From the Shadows is a 90-minute documentary about parental child abduction to and within Japan. It shows the attempts of five parents to access their children in Japan because they are not able to see them. Two of the parents are the sole-surviving parent. Three are fathers, and two are mothers. One of the mothers is Japanese.
